         Banana is one of the super food that contains, lots of healthy nutrients. This is a good source to build up muscles. It the tropical fruit grown by people from the ancient time.

        Some study suggest that it contains antidepressant properties. Folate is recommended to reduce depression, and banana is one of the good source of folate.

        Bananas are good for our heart. They are packed with potassium, mineral electrolyte that keeps electricity flowing throughout our body, which is required to keep our heart beating. Bananas may not be overflowing with calcium, but  they are still helpful in keeping bones strong.

       According to study, they contain an abundance of fructo-oligo-saccharides and these are nondigestive carbohydrates that encourage digestive friendly probiotics( good and helpful bacteria in our gut) and enhance the body's ability to absorb calcium. 

            Bananas are known for their potassium content with one medium size banana offering about 400 mg potassium, or about 9% of the daily requirement. 

            Bananas with dark spots were eight times more effective in enhancing the power of white blood cells than green-skin bananas. White blood cells fight infections from bacteria, fungi, viruses and other pathogens.  

            Pectin ( a fiber that is found in fruits) and resistant starch present in banana may moderate blood sugar levels after meals and reduce appetite by slowing the emptying of our stomach. For replenishing energy and electrolytes, bananas can be effective than soft drinks. 

         One to two bananas per day is considered a moderate intake for most healthy people, when taken in moderation do not cause or increase belly fat. 


         One study suggest that eating banana might help prevent wheezing in children with asthma. One reason for this could ne the antioxidants and potassium present in it. Along with potassium banana contains some Vit. C, folate, magnesium, etc.  

         Bananas are known to reduce swelling, protect against developing type 2 diabetes, aid in weight loss, strengthens the nervous system and help with production of white cells, all due to the high level of vitamin B6, potassium, antioxidants in it.
    
        Bananas are botanically classified as a berry and are a product of large flowering plants. They come in different colors, sizes, and firmness but recognized by their curved, elongated shape, and starchy flesh. 
        
         Baby bananas are also called Lady's finger bananas. They are sweeter and smaller than popular Cavendish bananas- which are slightly sweet bananas found in markets all over. 

          It is best to avoid banana after dinner, as it may lead to mucus formation. It is better to eat in morning. It satiates hunger and good for digestion. It is known as superfood.
